He just has such a fantastic way of laying
it all out, I’m sure you’ll get a whole new perspective that will
actually be very exciting for you.

In my opinion, this kind of conversation is way overdue when it
comes to the essentials and TRUTH about the Law of Attraction
and how it all works.

Because it’s simply not just some flight of fancy or make-believe
exercise—the Universal and unchanging laws that make
EVERYTHING happen for you are grounded in science!

Not don’t get nervous or anything—you don’t have to be able
to unravel an equation or know a test tube from a Petrie dish—all
you have to do is step up to the plate and agree to make this a
habit you do every single day…

[Practice Makes Perfect—How To Manifest ANYTHING You Want]
http://www.mindmovies.com/mm20videoseries/bob-proctor.php?16885

The biggest mistake most people make with manifesting is
throwing in the towel when what you want doesn’t materialize
immediately.

Hey, it doesn’t work like that! :-)

I mean, on the one hand, it works so darn fast it will make your
head spin—especially when you consider how hugely this can
transform your life forever. It DOES take some time, with a
dedication to visualizing what you truly want in your life every single day.

But it doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated, or even very
time consuming.

It just has to be done regularly like clockwork. When you do
that ONE thing, hold on to your hat--because some really
incredible, almost magical, things will start to happen in your life!

[Feels Like Magic But It’s Real]
http://www.mindmovies.com/mm20videoseries/bob-proctor.php?16885

The magical part is so real, Ryan explains exactly how
he vaporized a whopping $70K in debt in only three
short months.

If you’ve got some financial “issues” you’re really going to
want to watch this very closely—it could be the key that unlocks
the door to your best life yet.

So take a look—and get started doing exactly what Bob says.
You’ll find it just could be the missing piece of your manifesting puzzle.

And be sure to let me know how things are going for you OK?

To your manifesting success,

Murtaza

P.S. Have you ever thought about how you’ve been programmed since
you were a kid to accept whatever life hands you?

No offense, but that is the biggest load of horse puckie since
Columbus said the world was flat! You can truly RE-program
your thinking to attract the most astounding things into your life.

Just watch the video, OK?

[Bob Explains It All—RE-Program Your Thinking!]
http://www.mindmovies.com/mm20videoseries/bob-proctor.php?16885

Test your receptivity to hypnosis

Boost your Creativity . Even his wife Paula was skeptical and cautious until she eventually saw the benefits in the work he was doing with their children. A few friends in Laredo became interested and listened to his ideas and helped him when he asked them to, but many more were suspicious and even hostile.

Eventually Silva's work attracted the attention of one scientist, who became a close friend and associate, and who brought the research findings to the attention of many other scientists. This pioneering research, overcoming many obstacles and challenges, has provided José Silva with many wonderful memories of the people and events that helped us to take the first step into the second phase of human evolution on the planet by succeeding with metaphysics.

This is the story about how scientists became aware of the new science that José Silva has named "psychorientology."

A Scientist Takes a Peek

The first scientist who came to Laredo, Texas, to investigate the research that Silva was doing was Dr. J.W. Hahn, director of the Mind Science Foundation in San Antonio, Texas. Through Dr. Hahn, many more scientists became interested in the pioneering research into the mind and human potential. Mind Science Foundation was founded by oil millionaire Tom Slick Sr. It was Mr. Slick who asked Dr. Hahn to check out Silva's work. He took back a very favorable report.

In fact. Dr. Hahn took the first step that led to the Silva Method being taught to the public for the very first time.

Here's how it happened:

After Dr. Hahn's visit to Laredo, he called Dr. N.E. West, the head of the Department of Psychology at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, and arranged for him to visit Laredo and inspect Silva's findings. Dr. West was impressed. Even though he had visited the laboratories of Dr. J.B. Rhine at Duke University on two occasions, he said that he had never seen so much valid scientific work done on ESP.

A Very Successful Visit

That led to an invitation by Dr. West for Silva to come to Plainview and present a lecture to the psychology students at the college. The visit was so successful that Dr. West told his friend Dord Fitz, an art professor in nearby Amarillo, that he should invite Silva to come speak to his art students.

When several of the art students expressed an interest in learning Silva's techniques, Fitz suggested that Silva come teach a class in Amarillo. More than 80 students attended that first Silva Method course. Even before they had finished their training, they were telling Silva that their relatives and friends were also interested, so Silva scheduled another class.

The Silva Method continued to grow by word of mouth until today it is being offered in more than 100 countries worldwide, in 29 different languages—and millions of people have benefited.Meanwhile, while Silva was impressing students and artists with his findings, Dr. Hahn was arranging for a visit to the leading parapsychology laboratory in the world: The Mind Science Foundation Laboratory in Los Angeles, California. It was here that Silva observed a scientific project with a plant that convinced him that the human mind could alter matter just by thinking.

Verified Results

Silva continued teaching, and Dr. Hahn continued encouraging him. But not everyone believed that such trailblazing research and results were coming out of Laredo, Texas. Dr. Hahn needed to demonstrate to the Mind Science Foundation board of directors that Silva's program was valid, so he undertook a major survey.Detailed, comprehensive survey forms were mailed to 10,000 Silva Method graduates. More than 1,100 of them took the time to fill out the forms and return them, an unusually high percentage. The graduates seemed eager to express their opinions.

The results were spectacular. Not only were people receiving all of the benefits they had sought when they first came to the course, they were benefiting in ways they had not expected. They were correcting problems that they had not even considered correcting by using the Silva Method techniques. There was also a question about the graduates' overall opinion of the Silva Method. Only half a dozen had any complaint, while the rest—99.6% of the graduates—were satisfied.

To validate the survey, Dr. Hahn conducted another survey. In this one, he got responses from every person who attended a Silva Method Basic Lecture Series in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The results in Albuquerque were the same as the results from the other survey, and every person was satisfied with the course. Armed with proof that the Silva Method works and that graduates were reporting outstanding benefits.

Dr. Hahn now approached other scientists and encouraged them to investigate Silva's work. He helped arrange with clinical psychologist Dr. Puryear to hold a Silva Method class at the Trinity University campus in San Antonio. Then Dr. Hahn approached the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. He arranged for Dr. Robert Barns, head of the Psychiatry Department, and Dr. Richard McKenzie, head of the Psychology Department, to invite Silva to present a lecture and demonstration of how to control brain waves consciously.

Students and professors were impressed, because at that time, scientists believed that brain waves were under autonomic control, and could not be altered by individuals. Later Dr. Hahn arranged with Dr. Fred Bremner, head of the Department of Psychology at Trinity University, to test Silva and some of the people that Silva had trained.

"For the first time, scientists verified in a scientific laboratory that people could learn to control their brain waves. They also conducted a scientific experiment that involved Silva teaching his method to 20 of the students at the university. As usual, the results were successful."

They were reported in the British scientific journal Neuropsychologia, Vol. 10, pages 307-312 and pages 467-469.

If You’ve Got 5 Minutes, I Guarantee You Freedom from Disease, Recession-Proof Wealth and a Life Awakened to Your Purpose!

Join 6 ,504,587 Grateful Users Who Have Already Discovered the Silva Method…

The 5 Levels of Manifesting

by Vishen Lakhiani
When the movie The Secret came out, it introduced the concept of manifesting to the masses. Suddenly people were walking about thinking, “positive thoughts, positive thoughts!”. However, The Secret is just the tip of the iceberg. Those who stopped at this level of manifesting never had a chance to discover their true potential in just how they could create their own universe. Recent research has shown that meditating has dramatic positive effects in as little as a 10-minute session. Several studies have demonstrated that subjects who meditated for a short time showed increased alpha waves (the relaxed brain waves) and decreased anxiety and depression.

Researchers studied participants with MRI brain scans while they meditated, and found that meditation activated several of the autonomic parts of the brain, including those that controlled digestion, and blood pressure - which are normally out of our control. By lowering stress, and allowing these vital body functions to work free of any extra burden - ailing medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and digestion problems are much less likely to occur.

So what does a state of Meditation infer? In his book, “What is Meditation?” (Shambhala Publications, 1999), Rob Nairn talks about it as a state of “bare attention.” He explains, “It is a highly alert and skillful state of mind because it requires one to remain psychologically present and ‘with’ whatever happens in and around one without adding to or subtracting from it in any way.” Meditation cleanses your mind, cleaning it of negative thoughts and other obstructive clutter.

If there are so many positive benefits to meditation, why don’t more people practice it? Our biggest objection is that we don’t have 10 minutes to take out of our busy lives and meditate. The irony of this is that if we took out the time, as little as 10 minutes a day, the physical and psychological benefits would be much greater than any extra time spent working. Meditation is as simple as sitting in a chair in a quiet room and focusing on ones breathing, or listening to a CD of sounds.

I’m sure you have 10 minutes today to meditate and see the positive benefits to your mind and body. You can start by trying a free demo of one of the most commonly used meditation courses, allowing you to experience different states of meditation, or just by sitting down and taking some quiet time to allow yourself to observe your mind.

70 Ways to Increase Your Brain Power

You Want More Brainpower - Not Higher IQ Scores!

Okay, maybe you want higher IQ scores too. The American Heritage Dictionary defines Intelligence Quotient as "The ratio of tested mental age to chronological age, usually expressed as a quotient multiplied by 100."

Basically, it's a test of intelligence, with 100 as the average score. There are some problems with IQ tests however.

A recent IQ test asked which of four fruits was different. It was the one with more than one seed; but what if you were not familiar with these fruits? Obviously this test is culturally biased. You are assumed to have certain knowledge, yet you are being tested for intelligence, not knowledge.

Now look at these letters: "ANLDEGN." Rearrange them and you'll have the name of a(n): Ocean, Country, State, City or Animal. This is from an IQ test I took. Hmm... There are very few oceans, so I could eliminate those - but wait a second! That's a test taking technique. An intelligence test shouldn't be testing your test-taking ability. I'm bound to score higher than a person of equal intelligence who hasn't learned simple techniques for scoring higher on multiple - choice tests.

Real Life Results Versus Scores

Now let me ask you a question. What was Henry Fords IQ? Who cares! The man was one of the most innovative people of the last century, and he did what he did by surrounding himself with intelligent people.

That practice alone has to be worth more than 20 IQ points in terms of real life results.

Real life results are what you want, right? So if you want to be more creative, learn to use creative problem solving techniques. If you want to concentrate better, there are techniques for that. Learn to speed-read and you'll have double the knowledge in the same time. After you paint your first Mona Lisa, build your first skyscraper or make your first million, what will your IQ score be? Who cares!?

Okay, an imperfect test is better than no test at all, and it is entertaining. I just took an IQ test, and although I don't think my IQ is really the 138 it showed, it was fun. If you really want to, you can try a free IQ test on my website http://www.IncreaseBrainPower.com. Of course you'll score higher on a good day than a bad day, so try these tips to make it a good IQ test day:

70 Ways to Better Brainpower -
(In no particular order.)

1. Breath deep. More air in means more oxygen in the blood and therefore in the brain. Breath through your nose and you'll notice that you use your diaphragm more, drawing air deeper into your lungs. Several deep breaths can also help to relax you, which is conducive to clearer thinking.

2. Meditate. A simple meditation you can do right now is just closing your eyes and paying attention to your breath. Tensing up your muscles and then relaxing them to start may help. When your mind wanders, just bring your attention back to your breath. Five or ten minutes of this will usually relax you, clear your mind, and leave you more ready for any mental task.
3. Sit up straight. Posture affects your thinking process. Prove it to yourself by doing math in your head while slouching, looking at the floor and letting your mouth hang open. Then do the mental math while sitting up straight, keeping your mouth closed and looking forward or slightly upwards. You'll notice that it's easier to think with the latter posture.

4. Phosphotidyl Serine (PS). This supplement has been shown in clinical studies to increase lucidity and rate of learning. It activates cell-to-cell communication, helps regulate cell growth, improves the functioning of the special receptors found on cells, and prepares cells for activity. In other words, it can help your brain power. It's also thought to reverse memory decline. Phosphatidylserine has no known adverse side effects.

5.Vinpocetine. This extract, derived from an alkaloid found in the Periwinkle plant, is used as a cerebral vasodilator. It increases blood flow to the brain, which improves its oxygenation and thereby increases mental alertness and acuity. Research suggests it may also be the most powerful memory enhancer available to date.

6. Gingko Biloba. The leaves of this tree have been proven to increase blood flow to the brain. The trees are often planted in parks. My friends and I used to eat a few leaves when we wanted a brain boost. It is also inexpensive, if you buy the capsules or tea at any health food store.

7. Saint John's Wort. This is a common weed that may be growing in your yard. Although it's brain enhancing qualities are less documented (studies do show it's usefulness for treating long-term depression), many people swear by it's temporary mood-elevating effect, and our brains tend to function better when we are happy. It is inexpensive, but I used to just collect it in the yard and make tea of it. (Hyperacum Perforatum, if you want to look it up by it's botanical name.)

8. Good thinking habits. Just use a problem solving technique for several weeks and it will become a habit. Redesign everything you see for a while, and that will become a habit. You can develop many good thinking habits with some effort, and then be more resourceful effortlessly from that point on. Use the power of habit.

9. Use dead time. This is time that is otherwise wasted or just under-utilized. Driving time, time spent in waiting rooms, or even time spent raking your yard can be included in this. With a tape player and a trip to a public library, you can start to use this time to listen to books-on-tape. You may spend 200 hours a year in your car. What could you learn in that time?

10. Learn a language. Learning a new language has been shown to halt the age-related decline in brain function. It also introduces your mind to new concepts and new ways of looking at things (in English we are afraid, whereas in Spanish we have fear). It is one of the best brain exercises.

11. Rosemary. This common herb may have an effect on the brain when the scent is inhaled. We are waiting for the research, but some people swear that just sniffing rosemary wakes up their brain. It seems safe, so if you have rosemary in your spice rack, give it a try.

12. Mindfulness exercises. Concentration and clear thinking are more or less automatic once you remove distractions. Learn to stop and watch your busy mind. As you notice things that are subtly bothering you, deal with them. This might mean making a phone call you need to make, or putting things on a list so you can forget them for now. With practice, this becomes easier, and your thinking becomes more powerful.

13. Write. Writing is good for your mind in a number of ways. It is a way to tell your memory what is important, so you'll recall things more easily in the future. It is a way to clarify your thinking. It is a way to exercise your creativity and analytical ability. Diaries, idea-journals, poetry, note-taking and story-writing are all ways to use writing to boost your brain power.

14. Listen to Mozart. In a study at the University of California, researchers found that children who studied piano and sang daily in chorus, were much better at solving puzzles, and when tested, scored 80% higher in spatial intelligence than the non-musical group. In another study, 36 students were given three spatial reasoning tests on a standard IQ test. Just before the first test, they listened to Mozart's sonata for Two Pianos in D Major, K. 448 for ten minutes. Before the second test, they listened to a relaxation tape. Before the third, they sat in silence. The average scores for all 36 students: 1st test: 119. 2nd test: 111. 3rd test: 110. A nine-point boost from Mozart!

15. Develop your intuition. Intuition can be an important part of brainpower. Einstein and others have relied heavily on their intuitive hunches. See Chapter 25 for tips on how to develop your intuition.

16. Avoid foods that cause subtle allergies. These can include wheat, corn, peanuts and dairy products. Watch yourself to see if you have a problem with any of these. They cause digestive problems and brain fog in some people.

17. Sleep better. As long as you get a certain amount of sleep - probably a minimum of five hours - the quality seems to be more important than the quantity. Also, short naps in the afternoon seem to work well to recharge the brain for some people.

The Secrets of Powerful Sleep
Sleep LESS and have MORE energy by optimizing your sleep patterns in order to create an abundance of energy in your life. Learn more here...

18. Caffeine. The research shows higher test scores for students who drink coffee before major exams. My chess game gets better. In other studies, it has been shown that too much caffeine leads to poorer quality decisions. Caffeine affects individuals differently, and has some nasty long-term side effects for some of us, but short-term - it works!

19. Avoid sugar. Any simple carbohydrates can give you "brain fog." Sometimes called the "sugar blues" as well, this sluggish feeling makes it hard to think clearly. It results from the insulin rushing into the bloodstream to counteract the sugar rush. Avoid pasta, sugars, white bread and potato chips before any important mental tasks.

20. Hypnosis audios. The power of suggestion is real, and one way to use it is with hypnosis tapes, CD's or downloads. This type of brain "programing" has more evidence for it than subliminals.

21. Speed reading. Contrary to what many believe, your comprehension of material often goes up when you learn to speed-read. You get to learn a lot more in less time, and it is definitely a good brain exercise.

22. Exercise. Long term exercise can boost brainpower, which isn't surprising. Anything that affects physical health in a positive way probably helps the brain too. Recent research, though, shows that cognitive function is improved immediately after just ten minutes of aerobic exercise. If you need a brain recharge, you might want to walk up and down the stairs a few times.

23. Imaginary friends. Talking to and getting advice from characters in your mind can be a great way to access the information in your subconscious mind. Imagine a conversation with a person who has a lot of knowledge in the area you want advice in.

24. Develop your creativity. Creativity gives power to your thinking. Raw computation can be done by computers now, but humans provide the creative thought that shapes our world. See Chapter 24 for tips on developing your creativity.

25. Learn more efficiently. When you decide to learn something, take notes from the start. Leave each "learning session" with a question or two in mind, to create anticipation and curiosity. Take short breaks, so there will be more beginnings and endings to your studies (Things learned at the beginning or ending of a class or session are remembered better).

26. Use techniques for clear thinking. Cluttered rooms and offices can contribute to cluttered thinking. Organize a space for mental work. Sigh, stretch, and take a deep breath before you start on a tough mental job. Plan some distraction-free time for brainstorming.

27. Brain wave entrainment. The newest brain wave entrainment products are powerful tools for altering your brain function. Some will almost immediately relax you, while others will put your brain waves in a pattern that is most conducive to analytical thinking.

Free 15-minute Brainwave Entrainment Audio
Calm your mind, reduce your stress and boost your creativity automatically with this free MP3. Learn more here...

28. Creatine. This is a compound found in meat, used by athletes to help build muscle. Now the evidence is here to show that it helps your brain as well. Proceedings B , a journal published by the Royal Society reports that the research showed improvement in working memory and general intelligence resulting from creatine supplementation. The dose used in the study was 5 grams per day. This is about the level used to boost sports performance, and is as much as you'd normally get in four pounds of meat, according to lead researcher Dr. Caroline Rae.

29. Talk. Talking is only good for the brain if you are actually exercising it, of course. Try explaining something that you don't understand very well to a friend, though, and you'll notice that the process of explaining will help you clarify your understanding.

30. Do something you enjoy. This is a way to both lower stress and rev up your brain. The key is to do something active. Watching TV doesn't count. Whether it is playing Scrabble or building birdhouses, when you are actively engaged in an activity that you enjoy, you worry less about things and you start to think better.

31. Adjust your beliefs. Believe you are smarter, and you'll become smarter. For this, affirmations may work, but even better is evidence. Make a note of your successes. Tell yourself, "Hey, that was really creative," when you do something creative. When you have a good idea, make a note of it. Gather the evidence for your own intelligence and you'll start to experience more of it.

32. Brain exercises. Do math in your mind while driving. Think of a new use for everything you see. Regular use of the brain has been shown to generate new neuronal growth, and even halt the decline of mental function that often comes with age.

33. Learn new things. This is another way to exercise the brain. It can also be done with little time investment if you use books-on-tapes while driving.

34. Walk. Exercise has been shown to benefit the brain, and walking is one of the best exercises for many. It is low impact, and the rhythmic nature of it seems to put you in a state that is very conducive to clear thinking. In fact, carry a tape recorder with you to take notes, and a twenty minute walk can be a great way to solve problems.

35. Model others. Find others that are creative, intelligent, or very productive. Do what they do, and think what they think. This is a key principle of neuro-linguistic programming. Be careful about taking their advice, though. Successful people often don't really understand why they are successful. Do what they do, not what they say.

36. Eat fish. Eating fish actually speeds up brain waves, and improves concentration. Researchers have also found an almost perfect correlation between intake of fish and lowered levels of depression in the various countries of the world. The U.S. has 24 times the incidence of depression as Japan, for example, where fish intake is much higher.

37. Avoid unnecessary arguments. When you defend a position too vigorously, especially when it is just to "win" the argument, you invest our ego into it. This is not conducive to the easy acceptance and use of new information. In other words, you put your mind in a rut, and you dig it deeper with each argument. Debate can be a valuable thing, but when the ego takes over, the mind closes a little. This is not a recipe for better thinking.

38. Laugh. The release of endorphins caused by laughter lowers stress levels, which is good for long term brain health. Laughter also tends to leave you more open to new ideas and thoughts.

39. Play. Stimulating the brain causes measurable changes in the structure of the brain. New connections are made and new brain cells are grown. Intellectual play, as well as any playing that involves hand-eye coordination stimulates the brain.

40. Do puzzles. Crossword puzzles, lateral thinking puzzles, and even good riddles are a great way to get brain exercise. You can work on them while waiting for a dentist appointment, or on the bus, if you are short on time.

41. Sing. When you are alone in your car, try singing about something you are working on. This taps into and exercises your right brain. Have you ever noticed how it is easier to rhyme when you sing than when you just speak or write? This is because the right brain is better at pattern recognition. By doing this brain exercise regularly you can train yourself to tap into the power of the right brain. This will make you a more effective problem-solver. If you doubt the distinction between the hemispheres of the brain, look at how stutterers can stop stuttering as soon as they start singing. Try it.

42. Nuts. University students in Brazil and other South American countries often eat several Brazil nuts before an exam, believing they are good for their mental power. The evidence is starting to confirm this. Other nuts that have minerals and amino acids that are beneficial to the brain include almonds and walnuts.

43. Olive oil. High in mono-unsaturated fat, olive oil has been shown to improve memory. A cheaper alternative is canola oil, but this hasn't been studied much yet.

44. Vitamin supplements. In studies, children scored higher on tests when on a regimen of daily vitamin supplements. "Experts" will tell you that if you eat a balanced diet, you don't need supplements, which, given the culture here, is really just a sales pitch for vitamins, isn't it? Who eats a perfectly balanced diet?

45. Fiber. It isn't just what goes in, but what comes out that is important to brain function. Toxic build-up in the body and brain can cause "brain fog." People often report clearer thinking as one of the benefits of curing their constipation.

46. Self awareness. This may not seem important to brain power, but it is. When you know yourself better, you can avoid the usual effects of ego and emotion in your seemingly "rational" thinking. Or you can at least take it into account. Watch yourself, especially as you explain things or argue.

47. Motivate yourself. Motivation is as important to mental tasks as it is to any other. Learn a few simple techniques for self motivation. You can start with those in Chapter 8.

48. Avoid too much stress. Neuropsychiastrist Richard Restak, M.D., form the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Services, sums up the research thus: "Stress causes brain damage." Long term stress has repeated been shown to hurt the brain, not to mention the rest of the body. Learn a few stress reduction techniques if you get stressed out often.

49. Get educated. Scientists have known for a while that the less educated get alzheimer's more frequently. Education in any area seems to make the brain stronger.

50. Avoid too much fat. In laboratory studies, animals consistently learn slower when they are on a diet high in fat. Type of fat may make a difference, so you may want to stick to using olive oil and other non-saturated fats. Saturated fats have been shown to actually stunt the growth of brain cells.

51. Eat less. Overeating has the immediate effect of redirecting more blood to the digestive process, leaving less for the brain. Long term, it can cause arterial obstructions that reduce blood flow to the brain permanently. In at least one study, rats on a restricted-calorie diet had more brainpower.

52. Avoid suspect foods. There is evidence that the following foods can be bad for your brain: Artificial food colorings, artificial sweeteners, colas, corn syrup, frostings, high-sugar drinks, hydrogenated fats, sugars, white bread, and any white-flour products.

53. Eat breakfast. When kids who didn't eat breakfast started to eat it, researchers found that their math scores went up a whole grade on average.

54. Avoid diabetes. The development of diabetes coincides with a dropping of IQ scores. In other words, if you want to maintain your brain power, follow your doctors dietary recommendations for preventing or treating diabetes.

55. Eat foods high in antioxidants. Antioxidants protect all your cells, including brain cells. Some of the foods highest in antioxidants include: prunes, raisins, blueberries, blackberries, garlic, kale, cranberries, strawberries, spinach, and raspberries. In one test, rats had age-related mental decline reversed by eating the equivalent of a 1/2 cup of blueberries per day.

56. Drink wine. In moderation, red wine can be good for the brain, it seems. It is rich in antioxidants, which protect brain cells. One glass per day for women and two for men is usually considered a safe and moderate amount.

57. Use alcohol in moderation. In a study at the University of Indiana School of Medicine, elderly light drinkers (fewer than 4 drinks per week) scored higher on tests of thinking abilities than non-drinkers. Those who drank 10 or more drinks per week scored lower. It is known that alcohol can kill brain cells, so moderation seems to be the key.

58. Folic acid. According to one study, 200 micrograms of folic acid, the amount found in 3/4 cup of cooked spinach, alleviates depression and reverses memory loss.

59. Potential brain foods. Other foods that may be good for your brain include: Avocados, bananas, lean beef, brewer's yeast. broccoli, brown rice, brussel sprouts, cantaloupe, cheese, chicken, collard greens, eggs, flaxseed oil, legumes, oatmeal, oranges, peanut butter, peas, potatoes, romaine lettuce, salmon, soybeans, spinach, tuna, turkey, wheat germ, and yogurt.

60. Vitamin E. Jean Carper, in researching her book, "Your Miracle Brain," found that many brain researchers are taking 400 I.U.s of vitamin E daily. It is an antioxidant, and reduces the clogging of blood vessels, including those going in the brain.

61. Vitamin C. Taken in the form of orange juice in a study at the Texas Women's University, vitamin C increased the IQ scores of children.

62. Selenium. 100 micrograms of selenium has been shown to be a mood-elevator. Your brain almost certainly functions better when you are in a better mood. Foods rich in selenium include Brazil nuts and garlic.

63. Alpha-lipoic acid. Alpha-lipoic acid (10 to 50 milligrams daily) improves memory and protects nerve cells.

64. Inositol. This is a safe and natural substance that is often grouped with the B-vitamins. It reduces stress and promotes clear thinking. It contributes to energy production, and so can "wake you up." Animal studies show a measurable increase in physical activity for up to five hours after taking it.

65. Huperzine A. This is a compound extracted from the Chinese club moss. Researchers both in Israel and the U.S. have used it to treat alzheimer's. It improves memory and learning an seems to be very safe.

66. Ask questions. This is a great way to keep your brain in shape. Just get in the habit of asking questions often, even if it is only in your own mind. Why are taller buildings better? what is the purpose of curbs? Ask anything that comes to mind, and ponder the possible answers.

67. Sniff basil. This another of the herbs that may be good for your brain. No studies yet, but many report a brain boost from smelling basil.

68. Temperature. Many people have noted that they think better at certain temperatures. In general, it seems that being slightly cool, but not uncomfortable, is most conducive to good thinking. Try experimenting on yourself to see what temperature works best for you.

69. Use systems. From the time I was ten years old, 12 x 49 was always (12 x 50) - 12. It's easier to figure in your head this way (588, by the way). I didn't get any credit for my personal algorithms then, but they are selling these shortcuts on late-night TV now, because they work. You can find your own easier ways to do mental math or other mental tasks, or read a good book on them.

70. Make a brainpower plan. It takes about twenty to thirty days of repetition to establish new habits, many psychologists will tell you. This means that when you create your plan for better brainpower, be sure you plan to use that new problem solving technique, or eat those new brain foods for at least three weeks. You can use many of the brain boosters here and get immediate results, but it is creating new habits that will give you the most brainpower.

Mind Power: The 3Ps’ That Will Make You A Champion!

Success can be elusive. It can find its way out of our lives. Why?
Well part of the reason why is because we ‘settle’. We allow answers, solutions and circumstances to enter our lives that are not congruent with who we really are.

For example, we may be asking for ‘the answer’ to a desired relationship. Or we may be praying for a ‘solution’ to a financial situation. But when that relationship comes in the form of a person that may or may not be ‘the right person’, we settle.

And if that ‘financial solution’ comes in the form of a J-O-B. . . when it’s not the kind of work we know we’re cut out for, we settle.

If we allow certain circumstances in our lives – ultimately settling for less than greatness – we accept less than greatness for ourselves. Consequently, our greatness is muddied and oppressed by our own decisions.

Here are three things you must know to enhance your life of personal success. I call them the Three P’s of Personal Success.

Principles

We all stand for something. And if you don’t know right now , it would be extremely beneficial to grab a piece of paper and start taking a mental , physical and spiritual inventory of your life. If you don’t stand for anything , you’ll end up a nothing. By taking a stand, you adopt a set of principles in your life that guide your decisions and outcomes. Your life will be as rich as your principles. Choose carefully and wisely. And just as important – do not comprise your principles.

Learn using your Mind Here

Mind Power: Peak Performance with Optimism

With rising standard of living and increased work pressure, stress inevitable creeps into our lives. One way to prevent ourselves from suffering the detrimental effects of stress is to make optimism a part of our attitude. Optimism is an attitude which "keeps you going when you already want to stop". Optimism also goes hand in hand with will and determination.

Consider this scenario: your goal is to be financially successful yet you just lost your job. You seek employment in various companies but ended up being rejected.

In this situation, optimism might not be enough to get you through. You need to have determination and the will to go on and massive amount of action to reach your objective. By looking at things optimistically, you can always tell yourself that it does not matter if you keep on being rejected from other companies, you can always try again and there are still other options, such as starting your own business, working at home, etc.

Another thing about optimism - you also have to pair it with sense. Have you ever met people who seem to have their heads up in the air because what they are trying to achieve is totally impossible? When you practice optimism, make sure that your goal makes sense and you have to base it with reality.

By doing so, you can be assured that more or less, by hard work and sincere effort, you can achieve your goal. Always remember that optimism is useless if you use it for far-off dreams, like you waking up to find that you have grown some angel wings overnight.

Generally, optimism can really be a source of inspiration and enlightenment to people. It is a way for people to boost their inner strength when they already feel like giving up. Throughout the years, optimism has been responsible for the success of a lot of people who never expected that they could achieve their goals, but still were determined enough to do so. Some would even say that optimism is a trait which helped them to keep their sanity during times when they thought they were really on the verge of going bananas because of their problems!

Developing an optimistic mindset is going to put you in a position in spotting opportunities and turning failures into important learning lessons. The key here is to combine logic and optimism and you will be more productive in many areas of life. Find out more about it here

Make Money -- Affiliate Learning Center

The Secret To Writing Great Copy That Will Make Your Site Convert!
Use Your Copy To Guide Customers Along the Path to Profits.
Effective sales copy is the MOST important component of your website. Your copy needs to give your readers information about your product or service and needs to convince them they must buy it! Your choice of words will therefore greatly impact your sales.

The key to great copy is that it guides your customers through the buying process.

There are four pillars of good copywriting:

Attention - Capture your customer's attention.

Interest - Spark you customer's interest.

Desire - Create desire for your offer.

Action - Induce action (your most wanted response).

In this tactic, we'll teach you how to use these four pillars to write compelling copy that will lead your customer to carry out your most wanted response. Let's start with 3 basic rules to take into account when writing your copy.

The 3 Basic Copywriting Rules
Rule 1: Don't Make Your Copy Look Like an Ad
As an offline or direct marketer, you are competing to grab your customer's attention away from whatever activity they are currently doing, whether it's watching a TV program, reading an article, or listening to music. Whatever form of offline media you use, such as TV, radio, newspapers, or magazines, your sales piece must scream "Hey! Over here! Look at me!"

Online marketers face a different challenge. Expert copywriter Nick Usborne explains that it's very important to take into account that most people find websites through search engines. "This means that your readers have been looking for you, or someone like you. They are in the driver's seat. They have an objective in mind. They are task-oriented. They are focused and intent on finding a particular product, service or piece of information."

People are in a different mindset online. Although they may not be set on a specific product, they know what they want and what information they are looking for. They're curious to find out if your site will be able to answer their questions and if your product or service will satisfy their needs. Your site copy must therefore address their concerns and lay their doubts to rest. Since they have found their way to your site, you do not need to lure them in as an offline marketer does, but demonstrate the value of your product or service.

It would be a mistake to make your website look like an ad. Focus on providing your customers relevant information, not a sales pitch!

For example, use headlines like:

--Don't Buy an MP3 Player Unless It Meets These 6 Criteria

--Why Do Some People Have It All, While Others Stumble and Crawl?

Offer compelling content that progresses smoothly into a cleverly integrated sales pitch.
Rule 2: Grab and Hold Attention
You have less than 10 seconds to grab a customer's attention and keep her from clicking the back button. What do you do?

The way to grab and hold attention is to use a powerful headline and sub-headline. Something that the customer can read in less than 10 seconds and that will compel her to stay on the page.

Once you've convinced her to stay a little longer, you need to get her to read your copy and take action.

If the copy is the most important part of your sales strategy then the headline is the SINGLE most important part of your copy. (We have devoted an entire tactic on developing headlines and scientifically testing them.)
Rule 3: Take Action
The third step is to persuade the customer to take action and carry out your most wanted response. This could be signing up for a free online course, downloading software, or making a purchase on the spot.

While going for the sale is important, for many new and unique products you will need to allow customers to test-drive and experience your product first before attempting to sell it to them.

Even on the best websites - up to 95% of customers will not buy on their first visit. You need a backup plan to stay in touch with these customers and bring them back over and over again as you warm them up to a sale. A free online course helps to keep many of these customers in touch with you gives you an opportunity to sell to them over and over again.

(You can learn more about developing a free online course in another tactic.)

Content Writing vs. Copywriting

There's a difference between web content and web copy. The purpose of web content is to inform, communicate with or entertain the customer. Web copy, however, is written to make the customer undertake some kind of action. For example, this could be purchasing your product, subscribing for free training or making a call to your toll-free number.

Content writers typically produce editorial, such as articles, instructions, reviews and descriptions, whereas copywriters write marketing copy and sales pitches. There is, however, some commonality between the two roles.

In order to keep people reading and poised to make a purchase, content writers must also add some "marketingspeak" to their work. And on the flip side, copywriters cannot solely focus on pushing the product. You don't want people to leave your site uninformed or confused; you want them to stay longer and buy something. This can be achieved with the right combination of editorial and sales talk.

First, customers care about finding what they want on your site. Once it appears that it is there, you can sway them with your words.

We use this principle in every piece of content we write. Look at the way we present the tactics and you'll notice that we start off each lesson with a headline and sub-headline. These elements usually belong more to sales copy, but we use them here to keep the casual customer interested and excited about reading further.

Creating the Blueprint

Before you start writing your copy, you'll need to figure out your message. The following blueprint, developed by top copywriter Maria Veloso, works well to provide a framework.

Ask yourself these 5 questions:

What is the Problem?

Why Hasn't the Problem Been Solved Yet?

What is Possible?

How Does Your Product/Service Make This Possible?

What Should You Do Now?

Question 1: What is the Problem?
Identify the problem of your target audience and how it can be solved with your product or service. We'll use this book and the problem we are trying to solve as an example.

Ecommerce is a highly profitable and growing field. However, it is also a field that requires commitment and a desire to learn and develop your skills. Without proper guidance many entrepreneurs could lose their savings or burn out before hitting profitability.

Existing guides offer tips and software reviews but do not offer a clear step-by-step framework that entrepreneurs can follow to take their sites from a tiny idea in their heads to a fully launched, profitable business that is geared for growth.

In addition, the field is changing and evolving so rapidly that people often have trouble keeping up with the pace of innovation and change. A $400 ecommerce manual you buy in September may be obsolete by December.

This is the problem we're trying to solve.
Question 2: Why Hasn't the Problem Been Solved Yet?
Why does this problem still exist? If the problem has been solved, you really have no point in selling your product or service online. Your copy must show why the problem still exists.

Think about why this problem is still a concern for your audience. Maybe existing solutions were too expensive, or not comprehensive enough, or hard-to-acquire.

We found that many existing solutions to our problem were overpriced and over-promised. A $1,000 ecommerce seminar may motivate audience members, but won't give them the step-by-step skills needed to take their businesses from launch to high-profitability.

In addition, many of the $400 ecommerce courses on the market that come in four 3-ring binders with recorded audio tapes are mostly hype - they contain a lot of useless padding but few real tips. And their nature as a printed physical product makes them obsolete fast.
Question 3: What is Possible?
What is possible now? Here you need to paint a picture of what life will be without the problem. Will customers be happier? Can they spend more time with their family? Will they be able to afford to travel more, acquire a bigger home, or send their children to better schools?

Create a dream of what is possible once the problem is solved.

In our case, we want our audience to know that they can possess a comprehensive online guide that lists and organizes all the latest knowledge, tactics and tips they need to boost their site and trump their competition. The guide is up-to-date and updated weekly.

You don't need to fork out thousands of dollars to attend multiple ecommerce seminars or buy different guides from different gurus. Whatever you need to know is right here at your fingertips - summarized and organized for you to implement quickly.
Question 4: How Does Your Product/Service Make This Possible?
Here you describe what makes your product or service special and how it makes the picture you painted in the previous step possible.

This is often called your product's USP (unique selling proposition).

What is a USP? As USP answers the question "Why should I do business with you versus your competitors?" The USP clearly defines your competitive advantage and states what makes you better than your competitors.

A powerful USP contains three parts:

It makes a very clear proposition: "If you buy this product, you will get this benefit."

The proposition must be unique: Your competitors either can or cannot offer this benefit

The proposition must have value: The offer should be so compelling that it motivates people to buy.

For example, our USP is "A personal, actionable, and constantly updated step-by-step ecommerce training system that rapidly transforms an average site into a site that sells. Guaranteed!"
Question 5: What Should You Do Now?
Once you've answered the 4 questions above you need to clearly state what you want your customers to do.

Should they sign up to receive more information? Make a purchase? Pick up the phone and place the order?

This is called the "call to action."

Our call to action is to get customers to test us out by subscribing to receive 7 free ecommerce tactics. Each tactic is then designed to impress customers sufficiently so that they decide to purchase the entire book.

Our entire site is designed to get customers to sign up. This is what we have determined to be the best call to action to generate sales.

Once you've answered these 5 questions you're ready to turn your responses into a powerful piece of web copy.

Here's what to do next.

The Elements of Copy

A well conceived piece of online copy will almost always consist of the following elements.

the headline

the sub-headline

the body copy

use of testimonials

the bonus gift

the guarantee

the call to action

the price

the P.S. line

In this tactic we will briefly describe the elements of each of these copy points. The purpose of this tactic is to allow you to rapidly come up with a first draft of your copy. Don't worry if you don't come up with the best headline or call to action at this stage.

You only need to come up with a preliminary draft. In later tactics we will zoom in on many of these copy elements such as headlines, testimonials, and pricing, and show you how to apply advanced strategies to make these elements stand out.

Later, you will also learn how to use advanced tools such as multivariable testing to further improve your copy.

Right now, your goal is simply to create a working draft that you can put online and then make improvements and tweaks from there.

It's important to use your best material at the beginning and end of your copy. A weak ending will leave a lasting impression and cancel out all the good stuff you may have said in the beginning. A good beginning starts with a great headline.
The Headline
Use your headlines to grab the attention of your customers by aiming to solve their problem. You don't need to take time to write an introduction, just get directly to the meat. Use short to medium length sentences with punchy, active words. Your headlines are what draw customers in, and the rest of the copy has to keep them interested.

Your headline must be catchy enough to make customers want to read the rest of your copy. Use "What if," "Think back," or "Imagine what would happen if..." to introduce the possibility of something to customers and allow them to paint their own pictures and draw their own conclusions. Try this versus a straightforward factual claim like "You can increase revenue by 25%," which readers may not believe.

According to many copywriting experts, the headline is the SINGLE most important element of your page.

In another tactic about headlines we'll provide a detailed framework to create a great headline and apply testing methodologies to make sure your headline works and converts well.
The Sub-headline
The sub-headline sits below the headline and further stimulates the customer to stay on the page.

If you don't use a sub-headline, be sure to make an impression with the first paragraph. This is crucial. Customers may not go beyond this.

Immediately demonstrate there are reasons to keep reading. It doesn't have to be long - you can use short, punchy sentences as long as they keep the customer's attention. A good strategy is to ask a question that will spark the interest of your customers and make them continue reading to find the answer.
The Product Image
The product image is a must! Eye-tracking studies show that it's one of the most looked at points of a website.

(We cover the placement principles of the product image in another tactic on landing page design.)

If you're selling a virtual product like an ebook or audio - it helps to create a virtual cover. (We talk more about this in another tactic.)
The Body Copy
Remember that the headline is part of your overall copy. That's why the first sentence of your body copy should flow naturally from the headline. After reading your headline, your customers expect you to immediately give them information. So give your customers what they want! Don't chat away the first three paragraphs with nonsense because your customer will probably not continue reading.

Know the difference between features and benefits. Features are attributes, properties, or characteristics of your product.

Benefits are what you can do, what you can have, or what you can be because of those features. People buy benefits, not features. Keep your eye on the benefits and use wording like "this means to you that" or "with this you can."
Use of Testimonials
Scatter testimonials all over the main page of your site. Testimonials with pictures help most.

We cover the process of getting and using testimonials in another tactic.
The Bonus
The bonus gift is used to strategically raise the perceived value of your product. We will talk more about this in another tactic.
The Guarantee
The guarantee is a powerful tool used to build trust and to get customers to take action and buy your product.

We cover this in detail in a separate tactic.
The Call to Action - Your Final Paragraph
The final paragraph is the call to action. It must respectfully ASK customers to make a decision and take an action based on what they just read. The action could the act of purchasing a product, or it could be signing up for a newsletter or free course.

A call to action can have a major impact on the number of sales. Give precise instructions and tell your customers what you want them to do. People tend to comply when given a direct order. To further encourage action, add an incentive or benefit to the order.

We've gathered a list of examples you can use as your call to action:

Limited Edition, Order NOW before it's too late! 1-800-555-1234.

20 Ways to immediately increase your dating success. You don't want to scare them away. After you have communicated all your key points you can mention the price in comparison to a very small purchase or a daily cost.

For example:

"For as little as the price of 2 movie tickets, you can now learn how to create your own movies!"

"For less than $1 a day, you'll get to build a million dollar website this year!"
The P.S. Line
The P.S. line comes at the bottom of the page and is ironically one of the most read pieces of copy. That's why it's used so often.

Many times people quickly skim through a page and read the headline and the bottom. Don't overlook this valuable component.

With a P.S. at the end of your copy you can gently remind the customer about the benefits of your product, any special promotions, deadlines, and whatever else you want to use to tempt them to buy.

How to Get Started

At this stage we recommend you start building a first draft of the copy using all the elements we described here.

It takes weeks if not months of tweaking to make your copy really sail. Remember - your web copy is always work in progress.

For now, it's important to create an initial working draft that you can place online.

So where do you start?
Step 1: Create Your Blueprint
The first step is to create the blueprint using the 5 questions we provided at the start of this tactic. Be sure to spend some time asking yourself these questions and writing down your answers.

The next step is to understand the elements of good copy - starting from the headline all the way down to the P.S. line.

Now you write.

To begin, we recommend examining your competitors and seeing what else people are writing about and how they are trying to sell their product or service. As you read your competitor's copy, ask yourself if they answer the 5 questions we defined. Also observe how their copy flows and their use of the copy elements we described above.

Be a great copywriter in 5 hours or less. Find a website that does a good job with copy and generates lots of sales.

Copy the sales letter in your own handwriting two or three times over the next week. You will find it effective because you can internalize and develop the rhythm, wording, phraseology, and even the mindset of the person who wrote it. This technique is suggested by master copywriter Maria Veloso.

After studying the copy and style of a few competitors you're ready to begin crafting your own copy.
Step 2: Improve Your Copy
After you've created your first draft of copy, use the checklist below to provide you with ideas to make your copy better.
1. Inject Emotion
People's emotions are primary motivating factors for buying. People buy on emotion and justify purchases with logic. Emotional drivers include anger, exclusivity, greed, guilt, salvation, and fear of loss. Using conversational language adds to emotional appeal. Replace rational words with emotional words: e.g. Use "speed up" instead of "accelerate" or "tough/hard" instead of "difficult."
2. Relate to Your Customers on a Personal Level
Incorporate stories and language that your customers can identify with. Use your words to satisfy their needs and answer their questions. Don't talk about what is best about the company selling the product or service.

Authenticity builds trust and trust sells. One copywriter who uses this tactic extremely well is Stephen Pierce. You can see an example of his style of copy here: http://www.secretsofcreatingwealth.com/
3. Use Real Images of People
Remember the rule of copy that says that copy must look like an article and not an ad?

This applies to images within the copy too. DO NOT use stock photography as a substitute for real, natural pictures of your clients, products, and services.
4. Choose Your Words Carefully
Refrain from cliché words and expressions like 'think out of the box' and 'advanced system design.' Don't stuff your copy with keywords, this doesn't come across very natural.

Breathe some personality into your words by being natural and chatty.

We cover the subject of conveying personality and trust with your words in detail in another tactic about creating trust.

Here's a cheat-sheet of Do's and Don'ts.

Do's

Use a personal tone, be conversational and friendly.

Use contractions, like doesn't and can't, to sound more personal.

Strategically place testimonials on your site to add credibility, flow and reassurance.

Use the word "You" rather than "I" or "We." Keep your focus on the customer.

Don'ts

Use words and expressions that could be misunderstood by international customers.

Use industry jargon and corporate lingo.

Try to impress your readers by using fancy words.

Be arrogant; instead of boasting about your own greatness, use customer testimonials

Use complicated wording; anyone with a decent level of English should be able to understand you.

Avoid sexist terms wherever possible. This will offend a large portion of customers and turn them away. For example, use "firefighter" instead of "fireman" or "business professional" instead of "businessman."

5. How Long Should Your Copy Be?
The length of your copy should depend on your most wanted response. For example, if you are selling something, having detailed copy is probably better. Your copy can extend to several pages in length - don't worry - readers are used to scrolling and long copy in most cases out-sells short copy.

However, when you are you are giving away free offers (such as a free course, white papers, or newsletter subscriptions) then short copy might do far better. For free offers you might not need any justification.

But remember to keep it focused.

Long copy is fine but eliminate fluffy words. Keep cutting out excess words, sentences, and introductions. You can only get focused copy after many iterations so write your first draft and then start cutting it down.

As a rule of thumb - if you're going to have long copy, keep it focused and tight!

According to Jakob Nielsen, one of the web's top usability experts,

"People rarely read web pages word for word; instead, they scan the page, picking out individual words and sentences...79 percent of our test users always scanned any new page they came across; only 16 percent read word-by-word."

As a result, web pages have to employ scannable text, using

highlighted keywords (hypertext links serve as one form of highlighting; typeface variations and color are others)

meaningful sub-headings (not "clever" ones)

bulleted lists

one idea per paragraph (users will skip over any additional ideas if they are not caught by the first few words in the paragraph)

the inverted pyramid style, starting with the conclusion

half the word count (or less) than conventional writing

Nielsen offers an interesting chart on his site that will show you how you can reword simple sentences to improve readability by as much as 124%. See that chart here.
Step 3: Boost Your Conversion Rate
Once you're drafted your copy and put it online, the next step is to boost your conversion rate by making your copy easier to read.

We'll discuss this in detail in the tactic on readability.

In later tactics you'll learn more advanced techniques for boosting the power of your copy.

These include:

Developing headlines and using tools to test them

Designing pages based on eye-tracking studies

Strategically using testimonials

Designing advanced signup forms that convert

Applying advanced triggers within your copy to motivate readers to take action

Using principles to create more trust within your copy

Applying multivariable testing methodologies to rapidly test and refine just about any element of your copy

Summary

Good copy is a crucial determinant of your website's performance and ultimate success. That's why it is so important to spend enough time drafting great sales copy and testing and improving it along the way.

Copywriting should guide your customer to carry out the most wanted response whether it's a purchase or a subscription. The copy needs to gradually lead customers through the four steps of attention, interest, desire and action.

In this tactic we've given you A LOT of guidelines to follow when drafting your initial copy. In upcoming tactics we'll spend more time on different aspects of your copy and improving your site one step at a time until you're able to enjoy that million dollar business.

Make Money -- Affiliate Learning Center

How to Use Give-Aways To Double Your Sales
Use Free Demos And Samples To Make Customers Come Back For More and See Your Sales Shoot Up by as Much as 90%
Have you ever wanted to try out a product before you purchased it? Most people would say yes. Before forking over the cash, customers want to make sure that what they are getting:

works

adds value

is worth the price.

The quickest way to a sale may be to initially avoid one! Instead of focusing on getting your visitors to 'buy' you could focus on getting them to 'subscribe' to a trial version of your product.

Many ecommerce merchants have started offering free sneak previews of their products. Examples include a free trial version of a software application, a free online course or, as in the case of this book, offering several chapters for free.

The idea behind this strategy of delayed consumption is to introduce customers to the features and benefits of your product, and to get them excited and curious enough so that they will eventually purchase it. For many merchants this technique works better than the traditional model of selling 'now or never.'

Why Ask for an Email Address?

Even on top sites, up to 95% of visitors will not make a purchase on their first visit. Rather than lose those visitors forever it's usually a good idea to develop a relationship with them so that you can bring them back to your site in the future.

This is most easily accomplished by asking for their email address in exchange for valuable free information - usually in the form of a sample of your product delivered via email.

Selling is often about trust and relationship building. The late internet marketer Corey Rudl said that he had to connect with a customer at least 7 times via email before they were willing to purchase his online marketing courses.

This process of relationship building is essential to getting the customer to trust you, to try out your product without the pressure of a tough sell, and to form a marketing relationship that will allow you to later sell to your customers.

Case Study - www.GoldmanMethod.com

Burt Goldman is a writer of fiction and non-fiction books based in Los Angeles, California. Burt is also a highly regarded speaker and trainer on the subject of meditation and self-improvement.

In his 70s, Burt decided to create a self-improvement program based on his 50 years of knowledge studying NLP, hypnotism, meditation, healing and various eastern disciplines. He called his new program the The Goldman Method and decided to sell it online as a series of 14 CDs and a 300 page book.

The problem is that Burt did not have the funding nor marketing budget of the large organizations that promote self-improvement authors like Tony Robbins or Deepak Chopra - but Burt strongly believed he had a better system.

Burt's strategy was to sell his system online on the site www.GoldmanMethod.com.

The entire course was priced at $137.90 but sales were slow. Burt did not have an established brand name and creating trust was therefore hard for him.

Then Burt changed his strategy. Rather than attempting to sell the course online, Burt created a mini-course, a free version of his Goldman Method course that included 2 CDs worth of audio recordings and 5 of the 30 chapters from his book.

Burt allowed visitors to sign up on his site and receive his mini-course for free. Upon subscribing, the visitor would receive a welcome email and a second email containing the first lesson of the course. Every 2 days the subscriber would receive another email with yet another lesson. Some of the lessons would contain downloadable audio training in MP3 format.

Since Burt's lessons were fully digital, he incurred no cost in giving them away for free. Burt soon found that 20% of visitors who came to his site were signing up for the free lessons (a 20% signup rate is considered very good in ecommerce).

At the end of the free lessons, the visitors would receive a polite email from Burt asking them if they liked the lessons and if they would like to invest in the full course. He found that the response was good. By allowing people to 'test' out his lessons first and ask them for the sale later - his conversion rates shot up.

Burt's website began selling more and more units of his course with this simple strategy. Since adopting this strategy sales have doubled and Burt is now refining his strategy to further grow his business into a million dollar entity.

Will Offering a Free Course Cannibalize Your Sales?

One of the biggest fears people have about offering a free course or free sample chapters of their online product is that this will cannibalize their actual sales.

This was certainly our fear too when we first started adopting this strategy. But we soon found that the free course increased sales and signups by close to 100%!

The graph below shows signups and sales on a test site we implemented for a client.

We first attempted to go directly for the sale. This experiment lasted 6 weeks. Signups hovered around 200 per week while sales were around 100 units. People signed up not to receive a free course but to get on a mailing list for special offers.

We later started offering a free course. Visitors on the main page of the site could no longer sign up for special offers. Instead, they could sign up for a free online course spanning 3 weeks. At the end of the course they would receive an email promoting a special offer.

The results were dramatic. The graph below shows the difference in signups (the blue line) and sales (the yellow line) before and after we started offering the free course. The point at which we offered the free course is marked with a red line.

8 weeks after offering the free course, total signups had more than doubled! The total increase was 105%. Sales too, shot up - by 96%.

Rather than cannibalizing sales, offering the free course had actually doubled them.

So don't worry about losing sales by offering a free course or free information. Anything you can do to put yourself in further contact with your visitors can boost sales. And if your product is good - a free course will inevitably result in more sales.

So how do you design your free course?

Designing Your Free Course

When designing your free course, follow these 2 rules:
Rule 1: Give Away Just Enough to Create Desire
The first thing you need to do is decide what bits of information you're going to give away. You want to give away just enough to entice the reader to purchase your full product.

Try to craft your free offer so that it allows you to email the subscriber with free information at least 7 times.
Rule 2: Give it Away Slowly
Second, you must spread out the information over several days. Let's say you're selling a book on competitive rock climbing. Your book contains 29 chapters. You decide to give out 7 chapters for free. You DO NOT want to let the subscriber download ALL 7 chapters in one go. Let them sign up to receive one chapter every 2 - 3 days.

By spreading it out this way, you allow yourself more time to form a relationship with the reader. You also make it easier for them to consume the 7 free chapters by spreading them out rather than handing it to them in one go. Remember - you need to contact the subscriber around 7 times on average before generating a sale.

If your free course is a software product, then you can let the subscriber download a limited version of the product (with some features turned off). You should always require subscribers to provide an email address before downloading and you should email them a friendly tip or suggestion every few days. The purpose of the email is to remind them to consume the product and to create a bond with them.

Simply allowing your subscribers to download a software product and then forgetting about them is not a smart thing to do. Create a relationship!

Setting Up the Course

Your free course should start with a welcome email followed by Lesson 1.

Every 2-3 days the subscriber should receive another lesson or nugget of information. We recommend at least 7 lessons in total.

At the end of the 7th lesson, the subscriber should receive a promotional email offering them a reason to buy your product immediately.
Here's an example scenario:
Cyril runs a site on competitive fishing. His major product is "The Reeler," his patented decoy hook that sells for $97.

On his website, Cyril offers visitors a chance to subscribe to an 8 part email course on the "Art of Competitive Fishing." On the day the visitor subscribes, they receive two emails. The first is a welcome email congratulating them for subscribing and reminding them what they're going to receive. The second email is the first lesson of Cyril's course.

The very next day, the subscriber receives Lesson 2. Two days later (now on day 4 the subscriber receives Lesson 3). Lesson 4 is sent out on day 8 - exactly one week after the subscriber signed up. The subscriber continues to receive 4 more lessons until day 22 when they receive the final lesson.

It's now been exactly 3 weeks since they signed up. Cyril has used this time frame to avoid making his subscriber feel pressured into a sale The lessons create a bond and drive visitors back to his site over and over again to read the lessons and tips.

2 days after receiving the final lesson the subscriber receives a special promotional offer. If they purchase the Reeler within 5 days, they will receive a free bait & tackle box worth $30. (Cyril purchases the box for $10 wholesale).

Cyril finds that 3% of subscribers respond to the offer and purchase the Reeler. One day before the promotion ends, Cyril sends out another email reminding his subscriber base of the pending promotion's deadline in 24 hours. He manages to get another 2% of subscribers to make a purchase.

But that still leaves 95% of his subscriber base as non-buyers. So 14 days after the first promo Cyril offers another promo. This time, there is no bonus gift, but he offers the subscribers (that have not yet made a purchase) a chance to buy the Reeler for 2 installments of $48 each. (He's experimenting with pricing here to see how price sensitive his customers are.) They only have 5 days to take him up on his offer. Again, just before the offer ends, he sends a reminder email. He manages to get another 4% of subscribers to make a purchase.

At the end of the promotional period, Cyril has now generated $8,730 from 1,000 subscribers. That's a pretty impressive conversion rate. He's earning close to $8.73 every time someone subscribes to his free offer.

Below is a chart showing how Cyril times his email messages.

Day

Email

1

Welcome Email and Lesson 1

2

Lesson 2

4

Lesson 3

8

Lesson 4

11

Lesson 5

15

Lesson 6

18

Lesson 7

22

Lesson 8 - Final Lesson

24

Promotional Offer - 5 Days to Respond

28

Reminder that Promo Ends Tomorrow

42

Backup Promo

46

Reminder that Backup Promo Ends Tomorrow

What Should Your Lessons Look Like?

There are 2 ways to present the information in your free course. The first is to simply include the entire lesson within the email. The second is to create a short message designed to SELL the reader on reading the full message, which would be in the form of a PDF or on the Web.
Method 1: Include the Entire Lesson within the Email
This is ideal for shorter lessons. Here is an example from Dearl Miller's free course, Trafficology. We have removed the bulk of the lesson for simplicity and have simply included the header and footer.

Hello John,

Welcome to Part 6 of the 7 Most Powerful Web Traffic Creation & Conversion Techniques Period.

Today you will learn:

What is 'Web Usability' and why should you care?

What are your visitors really doing on your website?

How can you use usability to improve your conversion?

Usability is the study of how people use things. Therefore, web usability is the study of how people use the web.

Boring you say...well, yeah, a little. But in reality there is a lot of good information that can be gathered. I am going to quote these three statistics again to drive an important lesson home:

..... Rest of Lesson Follows Here........

In your next lesson of the 7 Most Powerful Web Traffic Creation & Conversion Techniques, you will learn the single most valuable technique available.

Thank you and until next time,

Amy & Dearl

Nitro Marketing,

Editors, Trafficology.com

If you found this information useful, we would like to hear from you. Please email us: feedback@trafficology.com

Can't wait? Ready for Advanced Trafficology?

Join our Exclusive Members Only Area: http://www.trafficology.com/membersarea.html

Notice a couple of things about the email lesson above - you can adopt these best practices in your own lessons.

First, the email starts with the receiver's first name. This personalization level is important for boosting readership and creating a better bond with the reader. In a moment we'll show you how this is done.

Next, the lesson starts with some teaser copy designed to excite the reader and arouse interest. The authors tell the reader what they are going to cover and why it's important.

The email is chatty and informal. Note the line "Boring you say...well, yeah, a little." This type of personal one-to-one writing can help build trust between you and the potential buyer (more on building trust in another tactic).

The lesson ends with a small sales pitch that's not too pushy - the simple line "Can't Wait? Ready for Advanced Trafficology" followed by a link to the purchase page of their site.

Method 2: Use a 'Teaser' and Keep the Lesson Separate
This method is good if your lesson is too long and cannot be properly read in an email. Longer lessons that require images, use of fonts, or multimedia elements like audio and video are better served up on the web.

Here is an example of a 'teaser' style email from www.GoldmanMethod.com

Hi Eric,

Welcome to the Most Important Lesson of My Online Training Program!

Imagine if you could re-program your mind - just like a computer - to get rid of bad habits or unwanted behavior. Imagine how much more successful and in control of your life you would be.

What if I told you that everyone has this ability but only a few of us learn to use it!

In this lesson, I'm going to teach you one of the most versatile and powerful techniques, The Golden Image, to use the power of visualization to alter your behavior.

The Golden Image can help you:

Kick a habit. Do you want to quit smoking? Or perhaps eat or drink less?

Overcome a fear. Do you want to overcome your fear of heights? Or maybe a fear of commitment or public speaking?

Enhance your desire. Do you want to be more motivated to succeed at your chosen career? Or to excel at writing, acting, a sport or a non-profit cause you're working for?

Since this is such a powerful exercise, I'm going to provide you with The Goldman Image audio from the Goldman Method Field Kit for free so that I can guide you through the exercise.

Click on the Link below to download the audio now:

  http://www.goldmanmethod.com/online/lessons/5-healthy-habit.php

All the Best,
Burt Goldman
www.GoldmanMethod.com

The thing to notice about Method 2 is that it's fairly salesy. But this is perfectly fine. The goal of the email in Method 2 is to sell the reader on the idea of taking the time to click on a link and read the lesson on the web.

If you go ahead and click on the link, you'll see how the actual product is now positioned within the lesson.

Which Method Should You Use?

The method to use really depends on the style and type of your message. As a rule of thumb, if your lesson is longer than 2 pages, do not put the entire lesson in the email. Create a short teaser and drive the reader to click on a link that opens up the lesson in a new window.

If your lesson is a short tip and does not require graphics or lengthy text, you can include the entire lesson within the body of the email.

Each lesson should provide well-formatted, quality information that will be relevant and of interest to your target audience. If your content does not have any perceived value, your readers may unsubscribe.

Your lessons should identify a problem, discuss possible courses of action, and then solve the problem using your product or service. Remember to use your lessons to teach and inform rather than blatantly push for sales. You can, however, include unobtrusive links to your product pages in the event that a reader does wish to purchase. You don't miss out on any opportunity to capture a sale.

The final email in your course should be a sales letter about the product or service you offer that is related to the course you just gave. We will discuss how to craft this sales letter in a moment.

A Collection of Sample Free Courses

The following sites are known to have particularly well constructed and high converting free courses. Sign up for their course and learn from their examples.

www.DoubleYourDating.com - Free course on Dating Strategies

www.SilvaUltraMindSystem.com - Free course on Meditation

www.FreeAuctionCourse.com - Free course on eBay Selling Strategies

www.e-Filtrate.com - Free course on Email Marketing

www.MindValleyLabs.com - Free course on Ecommerce and Website Conversion Strategies

Crafting the Final Email and Closing the Sale

Once your subscribers have enjoyed your free course, how do you get them to buy your product or service?

The last email in your free course should be a sales letter. It should relate your product or service to the course content and compel customers to buy. This can be done by offering special incentives and pricing, and by including case studies and real customer testimonials.

A good sales letter will:

Thank the customer for subscribing to the course

Address the customer's needs and concerns

Show how your product or service will satisfy those needs and concerns

Emphasize the benefits of your product or service (e.g. more time, save money, better health)

Have actual case studies and/or glowing customer testimonials

Offer additional incentives in the final call to action

Reiterate your sales pitch

Allow customers to complete the purchase by linking to an order page

Create trust and have a guarantee

Provide your company contact name, email, phone, and website address for additional support

Give unsubscribe instructions

The important thing to remember is that the promotional sales letter should NEVER contain the entire sales copy. The sales copy itself should remain on a page on your website.

The sales letter should instead focus on exciting the reader and arousing curiosity to make the reader want to click on a link and visit the actual sales letter.

Why should you never include copy within your final email promotion?

There are 2 reasons for this:

1. If you include sales copy in an email, the email will often get blocked by spam filters. Even innocent words like 'guarantee' or 'discount' may be enough to get your letter blacklisted and hurled into a spam folder like an unwanted piece of junkmail (we'll take a deeper look at spam filters and how to get around them in another tactic).

2. Your readers will likely ignore an email that they perceive to be salesy, or they may save it for later reading (and then never get back to it). You don't want this to happen.

Here is an example of a sales promotion that works by arousing curiosity and attempting to get the reader to click on a link to see the actual sales copy.

Hi Julia,

On March 21 you received the last lesson of our complimentary Stretch-and-Slim Training Program.

I hope you have enjoyed our program and that it helped you shape up in a fun and easy way.

Yet, what you've just been working with is only a fraction of what 'The Ultimate Body' has to offer.

Top model Cindy Crawford has used her lifelong experience with a large range of personal trainers to compile a training program that will get you the body of your dreams in no time.

And we want you to Fully Master It - After all, don't you deserve to look your very best?

So we have a Special Offer for you...

How would you like to gain all the benefits of 'The Ultimate Body' for your entire family for a mere fraction of the price of one of our work-out camps, while remaining in the comfort of your own home?

Visit the link below to see full details of this offer...

Full Details Here:

http://www.TheUltimateBody.com/SalesLetter

This offer is only valid until Sunday, March 26, 2006

Go Ahead, View the Special Offer.. And email me if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help.

Nancy Clarkson

Nancy@theultimatebody.com
Manager of Online Programs
www.theultimatebody.com

Note the sales letter above uses a timed guarantee. It tells the reader that they have 5 days to act on the offer. The reason for this is two-fold.

First, a timed guarantee creates a sense of urgency and increases the odds that the reader will read the letter and click on the link ASAP.

Second, it allows you the send a 'reminder' email a few days later, just before the promo ends. You can remind the reader about the promo and remind them it ends in 24 hours. This type of email may further boost your promotional sales by 50%.

The Backup Sales Letter

What if the reader does not respond to your promo? Don't worry, you'll get another chance. Wait 1 - 2 weeks and send another letter to the subscribers who have yet to buy.

In this letter you can offer a further discount, a free bonus gift or even a payment plan.

In our experiments we found that a backup sales letter offering nothing more than a 2 payment plan could boost sales of one product by 18%.

Automating Your Course Using an Autoresponder

If you have just 50 people signing up to your 7 part course daily - pretty soon you'll need to be sending out close to 350 emails a day. There is no way you would be able to keep track of which subscribers are supposed to get which email and when.

To do this right you would need an efficient emailing system - called an autoresponder.

With the help of an email autoresponder, you can automate your marketing messages and course lessons, as well as program the frequency of delivery.

Without getting into the technical details, an autoresponder works by sending a pre-programmed message that you create to your customer's email address. Depending on your communication goals, your message can go out immediately upon the receipt of a customer's email, or after predetermined intervals once you get a customer's email address.

You will most definitely need an autoresponder to be successful in ecommerce.

We have tested a wide range of autoresponder software programs including GetResponse, Aweber, MailLoop and AutoresponsePlus.

Our recommendation is to start with GetResponse.com but then to expand to a more powerful self-hosted system like AutoResponsePlus once you have a mailing list of over 10,000 names.

Summary

Offering your visitors a free sample of your product through an online subscription can easily double your sales. In the psychosomatic sense mind power is labeled as ability to have emotions, imagination, memory, and will; and subconscious mind power is labeled as part of the normal individual’s personality in which mental processes function without consciousness under normal waking conditions.
Contents

1. How Mind Power and Subconscious Mind Power work
2. How to use Subconscious Mind for success

Mind power is our conscious mind, the way we think. The mind is similar to a constantly flowing spring however a natural spring cannot send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening, nor yield both salt water and fresh. So it is with the mind and its thoughts; it cannot equally think negative and positive thoughts at the same time. One will rule the other.

Since the mind reflects habitual thoughts, it is therefore our responsibility to influence our mind and brain with positive emotions, thoughts and energy as the dominating factors in our mind. Mind power is beyond positive thinking or brain power, it is thinking than believing what you think that will manifest your reality. Since this mind power is power of thought and beliefs, and these thoughts and beliefs will create the outcome of your now, you will want to stay aware to the reflections you are thinking.

Now mind power is a dual system that includes your power of thought(brain) and your subconscious mind. We all have subconscious mind power; it can be as small as smiling at your boss in the hopes of improving the odds of acquiring a raise.

It can be the way you unconsciously handle a situation whether appropriately or not. Power of the subconscious mind comes from the thoughts and beliefs of your the power of the your mind. However you think and believe is what your subconscious mind power will produce. This is done continuously, one minute at a time. Every thought nourished regularly by your mind power will activate your subconscious mind to generate those thoughts and energy whether good or bad into your life. This is how you’re present and future is created.

Your mind power and your subconscious mind work together and they fashion your reality. Let’s use a parallel to help you visualize how this works. Your subconscious mind power is similar to fertile soil that consents to any seed planted inside it. Your habitual thoughts and beliefs are the seeds which are being continually sown and they will eventually produce a crop. So if you plant weeds you will get weeds, if you plant fruit, you will get fruit. In other words, you reap what you sow. Now the conscious mind is the gardener, and it is the mind power to choose what reaches our inner garden- the subconscious.

Unfortunately, most of us do not have green thumbs because of lack of knowledge of this law, the psychology behind this success and because of this ignorance we have allowed all kinds of seeds, both good and bad, to enter. So our subconscious mind power will manifest failure, ill health and all kinds of misfortunes just as effortlessly as it will manifest success and abundance. However, it cannot manifest it both at the same time, which is why the need to constantly actuate the positive until the fertile soil of your subconscious mind power reaps only abundance. Success is only a choice away.

Continue reading Power of the Subconscious Mind- Your Inner Engine

The Law of Attraction and the Science of Getting Rich
How to change your life… for good.

What are you thinking about right now? The Law of Attraction states that “whatever we think about, we bring about”. This law may initially seem like new age fluff but believe it or not, there are scientific merits to this proposition. The top quantum physicists of our time have discovered that our universe and our reality is very much directed by the “observer”.

When studying quantum particles (the smallest observable unit of matter), these scientists discovered that such particles behave in accordance with the person conducting the experiment. It the scientists “predict” that quantum particles behave in a certain way, they do. And yet, if the scientists “predict” that quantum particles behave in another way, they do. It is the “observer” that dictates the outcome of the experiment!

What does all this mean for us normal people? Well actually, these scientific experiments has far reaching implications for us as our world is made up of these same quantum particles! In this case, we are the “observer” the director and hence the creator of our reality, our world and our experience.

So, be careful of what you think about! for example, have you thoughts ever begun with the following phrases:

I don’t understand…

I don’t want…

I’m frustrated that…

I hate my…

I can’t figure out …

I’m stressed about…

I’m worried that…

I should be able to… but I can’t…

Why am I having so much trouble?

The Law of Attraction indifferent to the words preceding your thought. Whatever you think about you will attract into your life. When you think “I don’t understand why bad things always happen to me?”, you are “attracting” bad things into your life. When you think “I want to get out of debt”, you are attracting more debt into your life. When you think “I’m worried I will get sick”, you are attracting sickness into your life! The Law of Attraction brings about what you focus on even if it is not what you want. Get it?

If you understand this principle, here are some examples of how to make the law of attraction work to support you rather than to act against you. Try observing your thoughts and changing your thinking in the following way:

“I want to get out of debt” to “I want to earn amazing riches”

“I hate my boss” to “I look forward to owning my own business”

“I don’t understand why he is so lazy” to “I love it when he helps out around the house”

“I’m stressed about this project” to “I always create amazing results in my projects”

“I’m worried about getting sick” to “I experience vibrant health daily”

Now that we have a better understanding of the Law of Attraction, it is no surprise why so many people struggle with regards to money. It is been said that “the rich get richer while the poor get poorer”. This is actually the Law of Attraction in action. Because the wealthy have money, they often think about how to best use their money and hence they attract more money. The poor on the other hand often think about their present lack of money and unfortunately, that also attracts lack into their lives. Currently, 96% of the world’s wealth is being earned by just 1% of the population!

To address this issue, the main teachers behind the movie is launching a program is called “The Science of Getting Rich” and it is based on employing the law of attraction to create wealth. This amazing program is based on the principles and philosophies outlined in a book of the same title written in 1910 by Wallace D Wattles. This is the same book that inspired the movie.

What is the Science of Getting Rich about? Well in the words of Wallace D. Wattles, “The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.” The Science of Getting Rich Seminar is all about teaching how to do things in this “certain” way to create wealth.

Click here to learn more about the Science of Getting Rich Seminar.
